Terms of Service

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Price Tracker, a read-only price and stock monitoring service for online sellers. By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to them.

Last updated August 30, 2026

  1. 01Agreement and who you contract with

Price Tracker is operated under the trade name Shopify Price Tracker, based in the United States. These Terms of Service form an agreement between you and Shopify Price Tracker. You accept them when you create an account, start a trial, buy a plan, or continue using the service.

If you do not accept these terms, do not use the service. Questions about these terms go to help@shopifypricetracker.com.

  2. 02Eligibility and authority

The service is built for business use. You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live, and you must not be barred from using the service under applicable law or sanctions rules.

If you use Price Tracker for a company, agency, or other organization, you confirm that you can bind that organization. In that case, you and the organization are both responsible under these terms.

  3. 03The service we provide

Price Tracker reads price and availability information that selected public Shopify catalogs publish, records what those catalogs reported, and shows you the changes over time with the source and the checked time attached.

The service is read-only. It does not change prices, inventory, product data, or settings on your store or on any monitored source. It does not place orders, and it does not make automated pricing decisions for you.

  4. 04Accounts, credentials, and organization members

You must give accurate registration details and keep them current. You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account and your organization.

An organization owner or admin who invites members is responsible for the access they grant and for removing members who should no longer have access. Credential sharing between people is not allowed. Each person who needs access should have their own account.

Tell us at help@shopifypricetracker.com as soon as you suspect unauthorized access.

  5. 05License, ownership, your content, and feedback

We keep all rights in the service, including its software, interfaces, documentation, and branding. Subject to these terms and your plan, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for your own internal business purposes.

Your account details, organization settings, configured store and source URLs, saved filters, notes, and similar configuration stay yours. You grant us only the license we need to host, process, transmit, back up, and display that content in order to run the service for you, keep it secure, and meet legal obligations.

If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve the service without any obligation or payment to you. We will not identify you as the source in public materials without your permission.

  6. 06Sources you choose to monitor

You choose which store and source URLs to monitor, and you are responsible for those choices. You confirm you have the right to monitor each source you add and that doing so is lawful where you operate.

The service is designed to read information that a catalog already publishes to the public. You must not use Price Tracker to work around a login, paywall, rate limit, robots directive, technical protection, or explicit prohibition on a source site, and you must not use it to collect personal data from a source.

Monitored information stays subject to the rights of the source owner. You are responsible for how you use what you learn, including any comparison, republication, or pricing action you take.

  7. 07Acceptable use

    You must not:

    • +Use the service for anything unlawful, deceptive, fraudulent, or abusive, or to send spam.
    • +Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of anyone else.
    • +Introduce malware, probe or scan our systems, attempt to bypass authentication or plan limits, or interfere with the availability, integrity, or security of the service.
    • +Scrape, crawl, or bulk extract data from Price Tracker itself, or use undocumented automated access to our interfaces.
    • +Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
    • +Share credentials, resell, sublicense, rent, or provide the service to third parties as if it were your own.
    • +Submit content or configuration you have no right to submit, or use the service to harass or defame anyone.
  8. 08Plans, billing, taxes, and renewal

The Free plan costs nothing, does not need a card, and does not expire. Paid plans are billed monthly in United States dollars at the price shown at checkout. Each plan has limits on monitored products, owned stores, and monitored catalogs, and the service enforces those limits. Monitored catalogs are the brand, supplier, competitor, and affiliate stores you add: up to 1 on Free, 20 on Starter and Growth, 50 on Pro and Scale, 100 on Business, and a custom number on Enterprise.

The seven day Pro trial requires a card. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, it converts automatically into a paid monthly subscription and the card is charged.

By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges for your plan, plus applicable taxes, until you cancel. Subscriptions renew automatically each month.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Checkout, payment methods, currency handling, invoicing, sales tax and VAT, and subscription payment mechanics are handled by Paddle under the Paddle Buyer Terms, which apply in addition to these terms.

You can cancel at any time. Cancellation stops the next renewal, and your paid access continues through the end of the period you already paid for. If a payment fails, we may retry it, notify you, restrict paid features, or downgrade or suspend the subscription until payment succeeds.

Our Refund Policy is part of these terms. Fees are generally non-refundable, and the limited situations where we review a charge are described in that policy.

  9. 09Public sources, third parties, and data quality

Price Tracker depends on information published by sources we do not control, and on third party platforms such as Shopify, hosting, email delivery, and payment providers. Sources can change their structure, restrict access, go offline, or publish incorrect information at any time.

Checks run on a schedule. Recorded values can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong, and a failed or skipped check is not evidence that an item is out of stock or has been removed. We do not promise continuous, real time, or uninterrupted monitoring, and we do not promise that every change is captured.

Nothing in the service is business, pricing, legal, tax, or financial advice. Decisions you make from monitored data, including how you set your own prices, are yours alone, and you are responsible for complying with pricing, competition, advertising, and consumer law that applies to you.

  10. 10Confidentiality

Each side may learn non-public information from the other, such as account configuration, monitored source lists, unreleased features, or pricing offered outside the public price list. Each side will use that information only to perform under these terms and will protect it with at least reasonable care.

This does not apply to information that is public through no fault of the receiving side, already known without a duty of confidence, or independently developed. Disclosure required by law is allowed, with notice where the law permits it.

  11. 11Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these terms, if payment fails and stays unpaid, if your use creates a security, legal, or fraud risk, or if we must do so to comply with law. Where it is reasonable and lawful, we will give notice and a chance to fix the problem first.

When access ends, your right to use the service ends. For 30 days after termination you may ask us at help@shopifypricetracker.com for an export of the account data we still hold in a reasonably usable format. After that window we may delete account data, except where we must keep records for legal, tax, accounting, security, or dispute reasons, and except for data that stays in routine backups until those backups age out.

  12. 12Third party services and links

The service links to and works with third parties, including Paddle for payments and the source sites you choose to monitor. We do not control those parties, and their own terms and privacy practices apply to your dealings with them. We are not responsible for third party content, availability, or acts.

  13. 13Changes, maintenance, and events outside our control

We keep developing the service and may add, change, or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces core functionality of a paid plan, we will give reasonable notice where practical, and you may cancel.

We may run planned or emergency maintenance, and monitoring may pause during it. We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as network or hosting failures, provider outages, source site blocking, attacks, natural events, labor disruption, or government action.

  14. 14Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, the service is provided as is and as available, and we disclaim implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted operation.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, and consumer protection law may give you rights that cannot be excluded. Nothing here removes those rights, and where a disclaimer is not permitted, it applies only to the extent the law allows.

  15. 15Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost sales, lost goodwill, or loss or corruption of data, even if we were told such damages were possible.

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to the service or these terms is limited to the greater of one hundred United States dollars or the fees you actually paid us for the service in the twelve months before the event that gave rise to the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or under non-waivable consumer protection law.

  16. 16Your indemnity

You will defend and indemnify us against third party claims, and reasonable related costs, that arise from content or source URLs you submit, from your unlawful or infringing use of the service, or from your breach of these terms. This does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own breach or wrongdoing.

  17. 17Governing law and where disputes are heard

These terms and any dispute about them are governed by the laws applicable at the operator's principal place of business in the United States, without regard to conflict of law rules that would apply another law. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

Disputes will be heard by the state or federal courts with jurisdiction over the operator's principal place of business, and both sides consent to that venue. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of mandatory law in your country of residence or your right to bring a claim in the courts your local law allows.

  18. 18General terms

We may update these terms. When a change is material, we will post the updated version here with a new date and, where reasonable, notify account holders. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept it.

We send notices to the email address on your account, and you should keep it current. Notices to us go to the contact address below.

You may not assign these terms without our written consent. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. A failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. If a term is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable term is limited to the minimum extent needed.

These terms, the Privacy Notice, and the Refund Policy are the entire agreement about the service and replace earlier discussions. Sections that by their nature should survive termination do so, including ownership, confidentiality, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, and governing law.
